Dr. Lisa Radwan
- Dr. Radwan earned her B.S. in Biochemistry (1986) and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (1991) from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She founded Northwoods Veterinary Center, LTD. in 1996. Additionally, she has pursued extensive training and certification in integrated medicine. She earned certification in Veterinary Chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 1999, and in Veterinary Acupuncture by Colorado State University in 2003. She is currently studying towards her master's degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Herbology at the Chi Institute in Florida.

Dr. Radwan enjoys country life and the opportunity to offer both traditional and holistic veterinary medicine in a small town setting. She spends her free time with her 2 dogs, and 3 Paint horses. She is an avid quilter and enjoys fly fishing, photography, bicycling, snow shoeing, skiing, gardening, and anything outdoors.
In the fall of 2008, Dr. Radwan enrolled in the Midwest College or Oriental Medicine where she will be working towards a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelors degree in Nutrition. She will complete her studies in 2011 and be a licensed human acupuncturist and chinese herbalist. Her studies are part time, so she is still actively seeing patients at the clinic. She hopes to add another building to be able to treat animals and humans at the same location.
Dr. Kate Carlson
Dr. Kate Carlson started working for Northwoods in the spring of 2006. Her undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degrees were completed at the University of Minnesota. In addition to her love for animals, she enjoys movies, art, traveling, and spending time outdoors. In the next few years, she hopes to take a trip to
South America.
Dr. Kate believes in the power of preventative care, including healthy human-animal relationships, nourishing and stimulating environments, appropriate diet, and exercise. She enjoys challenging medical problems, when it often takes going the extra mile to achieve success, and is a strong advocate of patient welfare.
Professional organizations include the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA), the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners (AASRP), and the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).
